Heat Transfer / Flocking
Heat transfer printing is the process of applying heat-applied materials to various items with a heat press. Heat applied materials contain a heat-sensitive adhesive on one side, when heat is applied by the heat press, the material adheres to the substrate which it is being applied to. We use a high quality satin finish heat transfer media as well as a matt finish look. Depending on the job, we will advise as to which media is suitable for the print. We are able to cut very fine detail out of our media and never recommend the “block sticker look” that most branding houses offer on garments. When the wording is too fine, we do a light contour around the problem area to match the garment as close as possible so that the contour is barely visible.
Within the heat transfer family, there are also many different types of medias we can supply, cut and apply to items. Examples of these are fluorescent colours, metallic colours, glitter Vidoflex, reflective media and flocking.
